EcoFact: Mixing tanks and support equipment used to manufacture Crawford’s Free are never just “washed out” with water during the clean up phase. Instead, all machine surfaces are (1) hand wiped using dampened cloths; (2) thoroughly dried and then (3) coated with a thin layer of bleach – a common antibacterial agent. This process may take a bit longer but it also saves thousand of gallons of water each year; plus keeps our equipment bright, shiny and clean for the next batch.
